The Tennessee Performing Arts Center is a private, non-profit corporation dedicated to providing and supporting the presentation of the performing arts to the citizens of Tennessee. Among its many operations, TPAC presents a series of Broadway shows and special engagements, and administers a comprehensive education program. Its four stages are home to The Nashville Symphony, Tennessee Repertory Theatre, Nashville Opera Association, Nashville Ballet, and Circle Players. The performance venues at TPAC are Andrew Jackson Hall (2,472 seats), James K. The moving spirit of Belmont Mansion was Adelicia Hayes Franklin Acklen Cheatham. Born on March 15, 1817, to an affluent Nashville family, Adelicia's teenage fiance' died before their marriage. At the age of twenty-two, Adelicia married Issac Franklin, a wealthy bachelor twenty-eight years older than she. The marriage produced four children, but unfortunately all died before the age of twelve. Seven years after they married, Franklin died, leaving Adelicia one of the wealthiest women in America. | ||||

The Parthenon stands proudly as the centerpiece of Centennial Park, Nashville's premier urban park. Mansker's Station Historic Site is a staffed living history site which is maintained by the City of Goodlettsville, Tennessee. The site represents the Station built by Kasper Mansker in the late 18th Century. The Bowen House is also located at the same site and a tour of the House and the Station begins inside the house with a short film which gives the history of both of the sites.
