This traditional course is very scenic. There is enough variety of terrain to challenge the most experienced of golfer. Numerous large oak trees can affect your shots, and water hazards come into play on a number of holes. "Golf Digest" rated this as the 4th "Best in State" course for the years 1995 through 1998. A lottery system is used on the previous Thursday for tee times for the following Saturday. Furthermore, tee times are reserved on Friday for the following Sunday. Tee times for the weekdays are reserved seven days in advance. |

Governors Club Private |
The
Governors Club golf course is a private 18-hole course highlighted by
magnificent stone and rock work. Each demanding hole grabs your attention
due to meandering creeks, waterfalls and dramatic elevation changes. I
have a great team of people who have put forth a tremendous effort to

Blanketing
the rolling hills of Percy Warner Park, Harpeth Hills is widely respected
as one of Tennessee's top public golf facilities. Originally designed
in 1965, the course was rebuilt in 1991 to enhance its playability as
well as showcase the natural landscape. The par 72 Championship layout
is surrounded by a natural wildlife habitat and offers a challenge to
golfers of all levels. In 1991 Harpeth Hills became a regional qualifying
site for the USGA Public Links Championship. Boasting one of the most
picturesque views in Nashville, you will find Harpeth Hills' clubhouse

has water that comes into play on four holes. The hole that will test
you the most is #9, a 416-yard, par 4, with an uphill tee shot to a dogleg

Indian
Hills Golf Club is an 18-hole public facility open year-round, except
for an occasional snow in the winter. The beautiful Stones River meanders
through the golf course providing a uniquely scenic setting for championship
golf. The par 72 layout is 6,800 yards with ample tee boxes to challenge
golfers of all abilities. The facility features a 10,000-square-foot clubhouse
and a 1,000-square-foot golf shop with the latest in golf equipment and

with the golf academy is an indoor learning center complete with a hitting

Golf and Country Club was established in 1901 at Elmington Avenue and
Richland Pike (West End Avenue). 1902 saw the club’s first tournament
and from that event was born the Southern Amateur Championship. In 1920
the club’s name was changed to Richland Country Club. Donald Ross
redesigned the course in the 1930’s. |

This
tight parkland style course has narrow fairways and many trees that can
alter shots. The medium sized greens are undulating and moderate in speed.
Water hazards come into play on five holes, and there are a few par 4's
that measure over 400 yards. One of the hardest holes is #16, a 428-yard,
par 4, requiring a downhill tee shot to the landing area below, then an
uphill approach shot to the green. The course plays from 5,485 to 6,887-yards
and there are three sets of tees to accommodate a varitety of skill levels.
Carts are mandatory on weekends and holidays. There are discounts available
Monday through Thursday before 9 AM. For additional information call the

There are some elevated greens, and the only time you'll run into a water

scenic course plays through very hilly terrain, so riding carts are mandatory.
Designed by former U.S. Open and PGA Champion Larry Nelson, the 18-hole,
links style course stretches over 220 acres of land along the Cumberland
River. Votes as on of the 10 best courses in Tennessee, it si the former
home to the Senior Classic at Gaylord Opryland from 1993-2003. The fairways
are tree lined, and the greens are average in size and speed. Water hazards
come into play on a few holes. On some holes there are dual paths to the
greens. The "play it safe" route and the "go for it"
route. Senior discounts are only available Monday through Friday. Uplink
GPS System capabilities featuring weather and safety messaging, food and
beverage ordering, and hole and green overview and yardage are available. |

course was named after the first African-American to play in a PGA-sanctioned
event. The fairways are wide open and its greens are elevated and very
large. There are water hazards that come into play on five holes. This
course's most difficult hole is #7, a 441-yard, par 4, requiring a tee
shot over a large ditch. The Metro Amateur Championship was held here
in 1994. Gary Baird redesigned this course in 1993. This is one of seven
municipal courses in the local area. |
